Here’s a brief rundown of the services we provide:
Wood fencing: wood prices during the COVID pandemic have soared dramatically due to the issue of supply and demand. Increased home renovations due to being stuck at home coupled with reduced production in the wood mills have resulted in double to triple the price of lumber. As lumber mills begin to ramp up their production, prices should start to ease. Wood is a popular material for fences and decks because of their eco-friendliness and natural beauty.
Vinyl fencing: what vinyl fences lack in natural beauty provided by wood, it shines in its increased durability, lower maintenance frequency and dramatic reduction in rot as may be the case in wood. This is also a good option if you like bright colours, ones that pop and really make people notice.
Composite fencing: sometimes seen as the best of both the wood and vinyl words, composite fencing utilizes recycled materials of lumber and PVC. Noticeably more costly than wood and vinyl, composite fences and decks make up for the higher price tag by its ease of maintenance and significantly longer lifespan that might just outlive you! So if you’re not strictly focused on upfront pricing, but rather the value, then please consider composite fencing as you can probably move onto other areas of home renovations without ever having to worry about your composite deck or fence. Some popular manufacturers of this type of fence and deck include Trex, Simtek, Fiberon and TimberTek.
Metal fencing: touted for its beauty, strength and durability, materials in metal fences include aluminum, steel and wrought iron. Depending on your needs, whether you’re looking for a residential or commercial fence installation, each metal has its pros and cons to consider. For example, a security gate may require a stronger metal to withstand abuse and entry attempts. We’ll touch more on that on the metal fencing page of our site.
Chain link fencing: often the most affordable fencing option, it serves a functional purpose in many residential and institutional settings including schools and business. Despite its relatively low price point, care must be used to install the chain link fence and posts to ensure its longevity.
Deck installation: our deck builders build the most beautiful and long-lasting decks that will last years with minimal maintenance. Our skilled and experienced deck contractors will survey the land upon which the deck will be built, make the necessary calculations and perform the deck install according to code and with the utmost care.
Gazebos, cabanas, pergolas, arbors, trellises: within these categories will be narrowed down choices of material and construction. For example, a pool cabana built on top of a pool deck will require a different plan than a gazebo constructed on an open grassy field. Again, our extensive experience will guide us on the best options for the given space.

How do you know if you need a simple fence repair or a full fence replacement? In many cases, if you see obvious damage, such as a leaning fence section or rotting wood, a repair produces very temporary results and may end up more costly in the long run. In the example of the leaning fence section, a natural instinct would be to simply replace that particular section; however, if only that section is replaced, the remaining fence sections, which are likely already on their way to becoming a "leaning" fence, will put undue pressure on the new fence section, making the effects of the repair short-lived. In the majority of cases, if you see a "small" section of fence that's damaged, that's the damage you see on the surface, but the other fence sections are likely well on their way to going through the same fate, so 9 times out of 10, it is advisable to replace the entire fence.

2) Can we see your past work?

When a fence is damaged or blown down, who is responsble for paying for repair or replacement?
If the fence is right on the property line, the fence belongs to both property owners, and therefore it is expected that both parties pay for the fence.
Do i need a permit to put a fence around my yard?
In Ontario, you do not need a permit to install a fence in your property, so long as the height does not exceed 6 feet in your backyard, and likely less than that for your front yard. Permits may be needed for pool fencing; however, if you are unsure, do not hesitate to contact us at Vaughan Fence and we will give you the most up to date information regarding permits.
